Backyard gardens are a great way to bring food to your table. Here in the Pacific Northwest, we have mild winters and can grow food nearly all year. Small children love to be in the garden and older children can be taught to help (really!). Nourish your body, nourish your soul and bring your family together around the dinner table.
Garden Planning--Let's walk around your yard, evaluate your soil, and find the best place to plant your garden. We can build raised beds or plant right in the ground.
Planting--I have many seed catalogs and online resources for your perusal. We can use your seeds or mine, we can also work with veggie starts.
Growing--Growing a garden is not difficult, but it does requires consistency. I can show you (and your children) how, or do it for you.
Harvesting--Would you rather I pick for you and leave a box on your porch, or show you how to harvest on your own?
Recipes--What do you do with all of these new veggies? Recipes for your family can be included.
Hourly rates ($20/hour) and monthly rates (beginning at $40) available.
Discounts for homeschool families!
